At a meeting on Tuesday afternoon, Secretary-General Yoshiwei Kan said that 30 countries were seeking to provide Avigan for use in clinical trials as a treatment for the novel coronavirus. He said that the government is making adjustments to provide free of charge.
"The demand from countries is increasing, and we would like to cooperate with the countries of choice in clinical trials and the like," said Germany, calling for the provision of Avigan as a new virus treatment.
